"Everyone wants to see you do well, but never better than them."

We all have been there, standing at a crossroads, searching for true guidance and advice, hoping someone will guide us toward the right path or maybe show us a path. But instead, we find silence, half hearted words or even misleading directions. You start wondering, "Why doesn't anyone help me?" or "Why aren't they telling me their journey of success." or the mind screams for once in life:

"Why can't someone just guide me right for once?"

No one helps, why would someone help you in the first place, this is the painful thought that remains with us for our lifetime. And this is the truth of the world, not everyone can guide you, and sometimes, not everyone knows your capabilities, path and goals.

A jester

Most people speak from their limitations

When you ask for advice, most people answer from their own experiences, not from your reality, so they project their own fears, doubts, and failure onto you and implant the fear of failure and limitations. For example, someone who failed in business once, or has bad experience in business, will tell you to stay away from business as it's too risky to start yours. someone who never chased their dreams might tell you to "stay practical."

It's not that they wish you harm but they can't really imagine beyond the limits of their own mindset. Their advice often reflects their boundaries, not your potential.

Some speak to limit you, not to guide you

If you look closely, neither all people are your supporters, nor everyone wants you to grow. Many people disguise their insecurities as advice, offering the guidance that subtly holds you back.

When you ask them for direction, they may downplay your ideas and highlight only risks. Or maybe they just don't tell you about more opportunities, ways they explored and gone through. They will hide facts, because they, in one glance, saw your potential.

"Some people fear your growth because your rise reminds them of what they never dared to become."

Not everyone knows how to guide

Guidance isn't just about experience, it's about empathy, vision, and understanding. Many people genuinely want to help, but they simply lack the perspective to see your vision clearly. You can know at one glance, they are trying to guide you using maps drawn from their past, not realizing your journey is taking place in a different world, a different time. That's why so many paths shared by others often lead nowhere.

The world teaches independence, not guidance

We live in world, the age, that glorifies independence, "Be self made", "Do it alone and figure it out yourself". But this mindset turns us into silent competitors rather than the genuine supporters. The irony is, success may be personal, but growth is collective. We rise faster when we share wisdom, our ideas, our vision, and our path to success with others, so other can also have light of guidance to cross that path of uncertainty.

I Have Done All The Things I said I Wouldn’t And I’m Glad I Did

You must become your own guide

It really hurts, when no one shows you the real path, the way to your goals, but maybe that's life's way to make us stronger and become independent... I think

"The right guidance doesn't appear before you move, it appears in your journey and self-exploration."

Once you start walking, mentors appear, opportunities unfold and the right people will notice you with time, because movement creates momentum.

How to find the right guidance

  • Learn from experiences, not just advice: Take action, even if you are unsure. Every failure holds more clarity
  • Seek mentors not opinion: Because the real mentors elevates you
  • Read, reflect, and relearn: Sometimes the best guide is oneself reflections, or it's book, podcasts, newspapers, journal.

Final thought: You are your own answer

Maybe no one guided you because you were never meant to be led but you were meant to discover. The silence around you wasn't neglect, it was preparations. Every ignored question, withheld truth, wrong turn was shaping your future and you...

Don't lose hope, and stop waiting for someone to guide you. Walk forward, with uncertainty, courage and faith because once you start moving, you will not only find a way but you will become the guide someone else is searching for.
